The Internet has changed the way real estate is bought and sold. Not just here in the Kingsland and St Marys, Georgia Real Estate Markets, but all across North America (probably the world). There was a time when people would start thinking about buying a home, drive around neighborhoods for a year, then when they crossed the "time to buy a home" threshold, they would call the number on a for sale sign to find out what to do next.
Flash to the other end of that phone call...Because buyers only called when they had crossed the "time to buy a home" threshold, on the other end of the phone line would be a real estate agent that was ready to sell a home right now. Afterall, buyers only called when they were ready to buy and the - ready now - phone call represents money now. Agents are taught to handle these calls aggressively.
Flash over to the buyers...With the web resources available to us in the information age, we still go through the same decision making process and we still go through the process over a period of months or years. But now we have the luxury of gathering valid information on the areas of interest, different neighborhoods, and a variety of homes along the way. When buyers (or sellers) request information via a website they are simply trying to educate themselves about the decision they will make, often many months in the future.
Flash to the other end of that web request...Agents on the other end of the web request simply don't know how to handle your information request. Agents built a website because that is what everyone is doing in every industry, but they have no idea what to do with it. Your information request is not handled properly because agents still want to deal with the "I'm ready to buy now" phone call. Very few agents are taught to invest the time to walk with you through the process to earn a paycheck 8, 9, 10 months from now. But in this new era of real estate, agents must learn to provide savvy, informed buyers with the information they are requesting today with the understanding that you may not want to buy (or sell) for months.
eRESN Experts are taught the difference between these two eras of real estate. They are taught to provide information, make occassional contact via email or a courtesy call, and walk with you through the decision making process.
The sign of a quality eRESN Expert is someone that works with you on your time frame. If you happen to be ready next week they will serve you very well. On the other hand, if you are early in the process and do not plan on buying (or selling) for another year, you will still receive the same quality service you deserve. eRESN Experts simply do it with the understanding that they will be part of your long-term decision making process and are loyal to you through that process.
The easiest way to learn from an eRESN Expert is simply keep the communication lines open. Call or email them with your questions and they will find you the answers, quality solutions to your real estate concerns, and ultimately walk with you through a great home buying or selling experience.
The worst thing you can do to yourself, and to your eRESN Expert, is to walk with them through the process (whether it takes two weeks or two years) and then, when you have crossed the "ready to buy or sell" threshold, use some random agent that recognizes you are a - money now - customer.
